As chroniclers of the goings-on surrounding The Strand, we have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the St. Clement, a hotel in the new 180 The Thames building, the sister property to 180 The Strand and overlooks Temple Place.
The hotel is an inspired collaboration between the property developer Mark Wadhwa, Eagle & Hodges (the interior design firm founded by Alex Eagle and Sophie Hodges), and Nick Jones, the founder and former CEO of Soho House.
In addition to its 90 beautiful rooms and 14 suites, it has a 25-metre pool, hot and cold plunges, a steam room, infrared sauna, and easy access to the practitioners who line the hallways at neighbouring 180 The Strand.
It is currently in the midst of a soft opening, with some rooms available on its website; the hotel will be fully open in September. We can’t wait to check in.
